In the first place, Kathryn E. Cunningham is not the name of Damon Weaver’s teacher as I assumed in my first post about the darling cub reporter who dubbed Joe Biden his “homeboy” during the election. It’s the name of his school.
The ambitious young man is back asking president-elect Obama for an interview. After giving a little background about his town and presenting his credentials (a clip from his interview with Biden), Weaver gives the president-elect a tour of his studio. He gently pokes fun at Obama’s bowling skills and brings on some sports figures I’m sure other people would recognize.
Apparently, Weaver has plans to attend the inauguration. I know the world is falling apart, but how great would it be if Obama’s first interview as president was with the kid who will undoubtedly grow up to be the first black anchor of a major news network (yes, its going to takethat long)?

Barack is a very lucky man to have captured Damon’s interest for an interview. I can definitely see Damon in a network anchor chair in 30 or 40 years (and I certainly hope it doesn’t take that long to see a black anchor of a major news network).

OMG there is *no way* that Obama can say no to this little boy. Just absolutely no way. He is toooo cuuuuuuuute, and too precious and I just can’t *stand* it! If this interview doesn’t happen, I’m taking down all of the Obama posters I have in my office (including my coworkers’). So there.
