Tricia Matthew is an English professor at Montclair State University in New Jersey. She specializes in nineteenth-century British literature, with research interests in Romantic fiction, gender, and the history of the novel. Her articles have been published in Romantic Pedagogy Commons, Women’s Writing, ADE Bulletin, Pedagogy, and Nineteenth-Century Gender Studies.

Tricia is also a screenwriter and producer. Her first screenplay, Emma Jones (co-written with Will), received its first reading at the Odyssey Theater in Los Angeles. Cast members included Gary Anthony Williams and Tichina Arnold with direction by Leonard R. Garner, Jr. Producing credits include The Becky Show at the New York International Fringe Festival.

Tricia holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a pink trench coat from Banana Republic; truth be told, she prizes the latter more than the former.
